Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-06-20
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between HAZE PARK (the "Company") and users of ATLAS, the Company's cloud-based book writing and typesetting service (the "Service").
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" means the writing, book-structure editing, typesetting, preview, and PDF generation features the Company provides under the ATLAS brand.
- "User" means a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service through a registered account.
- "Account" means the email-based access credential identifying a User.
- "User Content" means manuscripts, images, book settings, and any other material a User creates, uploads, or stores in the Service.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms)
These Terms take effect when posted within the Service or otherwise announced.
The Company may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable law. Amendments are announced in the Service at least 7 days before the effective date (30 days for changes unfavorable to Users), stating the date and reason. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Article 4 (Provision of the Service)
The Company provides the following features:
- Manuscript writing and editing tools
- Structural editing of book components (title page, table of contents, copyright page) and body chapters
- Korean-first automatic typesetting with live preview
- Publication-grade PDF generation and download
The Service is currently in a pre-release (beta) stage and provided free of charge. If paid features are introduced, pricing, billing, and refund terms will take effect only after separate notice and consent, together with the mail-order business registration required by Korean law.
Article 5 (Accounts and Registration)
Registration is completed by creating an email-based account; authentication is processed by the Company's contracted provider (Clerk). Completing registration constitutes acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Persons under 14 years of age may not register. Users are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials and must notify the Company immediately upon discovering unauthorized use.
Article 6 (User Content and Intellectual Property)
Copyright and all rights in User Content belong to the User (or its rightful owner). The Company processes User Content only to the extent necessary to provide and operate the Service (storage, typesetting, preview/PDF generation, backup) and does not use it for other purposes or provide it to third parties.
Intellectual property in the Service itself (software, typesetting engine, design, trademarks) belongs to the Company. Users may freely use the PDF outputs they generate.
Users warrant that their content does not infringe third-party rights; Users bear responsibility for disputes arising from a breach of this warranty.
Article 7 (Prohibited Conduct)
- Misappropriating another person's account or personal information
- Storing or distributing content that violates law or public order
- Interfering with normal operation of the Service or exploiting vulnerabilities
- Reverse engineering, copying, or reselling the Service without prior consent
The Company may restrict use or terminate the agreement upon confirmed prohibited conduct, with prior notice (or subsequent notice in urgent cases).
Article 8 (Changes and Suspension of the Service)
The Company may change or discontinue all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons; material changes unfavorable to Users are announced in advance.
As a pre-release service, features may change or be discontinued with notice. The Service may be temporarily suspended for maintenance or system failure.
Article 9 (Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability)
The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure or by causes attributable to the User.
Given the pre-release nature of the Service, data loss may occur. The Company operates reasonable backups, but Users are advised to keep separate copies of important manuscripts. Absent willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company's liability during the free-of-charge period is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Article 10 (Termination and Withdrawal)
Users may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@atlasbind.com; the Company processes such requests without delay. Self-service deletion is in preparation; until then, requests are handled through the contact above. Upon withdrawal, User Content and personal information are destroyed per the Privacy Policy.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Disputes)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea; disputes are brought before the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
